Emily Yates Giulioni

Emily Yates Giulioni has over 15 years of project management, economic development, sustainable planning, and design experience. She has advanced knowledge in the transatlantic urban agenda with a focus on resiliency and revitalization policy, facilitating cross-sector collaboration and partnerships, and implementing civic engagement strategies which have brought vibrancy to local communities. She is currently chief innovation officer at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). She previously served as Philadelphia’s smart city director. There, she launched 14 tech and data pilots and leveraged a total budget of $219,000 over three years to bring in over $800,000 of additional funds and in-kind services. She was previously founder and principal of Urban Revolution Group, LLC and served as deputy director of Envision Charlotte. She holds a BS in Landscape Architecture from the Arizona State University and was a German Chancellor Fellow from 2010 to 2011.
